才華洋溢的Tim和Neil Finn兄弟，最初於紐西蘭7人編制樂團Split Enz中嶄露頭角，憑藉1980年單曲“I Got You”蟬聯澳洲8週冠軍，同時打開英美兩地市場；1983年因為Tim展開個人唱作生涯，Split Enz宣告解散，Neil則組成Crowded House作為重新出發的舞台，Tim曾短暫加入壯大聲勢。1996年巡迴演唱接近尾聲之際，Neil自認缺乏創作靈感，決定解散樂團。由於2005年傳出鼓手Paul Hester自殺身亡的消息，在各奔東西長達11年之後，2007年他們交出新碟『Time On Earth』，昔日的Crowded House夥伴再度聚首。

1986年發行首張同名專輯，由美籍大師Mitchell Froom(*The Corrs、Elvis Costello、Sheryl Crow)操刀，拿下澳洲冠軍+紐西蘭#3+加拿大#8+美國#12，在澳洲狂銷7白金，美國則是百萬銷售入袋。紅遍大街小巷的“Don’t Dream It’s Over”，成為清新民謠團隊Sixpence None The Richer的2003年主打、鋼琴精靈Tori Amos+舊金山重金屬搖滾團體Faith No More現場演出的最愛翻唱作，以及高收視率電視劇「籃球的天空One Tree Hill」+「飛越比佛利Beverly Hills, 90210」+「邁阿密風雲Miami Vice」的重點襯樂；最後一波單曲“Something So Strong”，也登記告示牌TOP 7。

★【Woodface木臉】：

1991年問世的第三張錄音室大碟【Woodface】，拿下紐西蘭冠軍+澳洲亞軍+英國No.6，澳洲和英國兩地獲頒雙白金銷售，在2010年更入列「百大澳洲最佳專輯」第3席。除了前兩張專輯合作愉快的Mitchell Froom再度助陣之外，Neil Finn此次也參與製作。專輯連續推出多達五首排行勁曲“Chocolate Cake”、“Fall At Your Feet”、“Weather With You”、“Four Seasons In One Day”、“It’s Only Natural”。
