樂壇搖滾長青樹 艾爾頓強60大壽
美國前總統柯林頓、羅賓威廉斯、琥碧戈柏等巨星雲集一同慶賀 

 

很愛熱鬧的「強叔」艾爾頓強在紐約麥迪遜花園廣場以開演唱會的方式慶生，和超過2萬名的親朋好友與歌迷一起歡慶60大壽，這場演唱會是強叔在麥迪遜花園廣場的第60場演唱會，他也成為在這個場地開過最多場次演唱會的藝人，強叔表示：「我已經在這裡開了59場演唱會，而我的60歲生日我只想在紐約的這個地方渡過。」前美國總統柯林頓也上台致詞，為演唱會開場，也開玩笑地歡迎強叔加入「60歲俱樂部」，並推崇強叔多年來對於愛滋病防治的貢獻，柯林頓表示強叔的愛滋防治基金會與他在肯亞的基金會長期合作，多年來已經幫助無數的病患與孩童免於疾病的痛苦，柯林頓也表示他個人很喜歡強叔的歌，每次聽到強叔唱歌，就覺得自己還很年輕。

而包括羅賓威廉斯、琥碧戈柏與多年來的作詞搭檔 Bernie Taupin / 伯尼陶本等人也上台致詞。艾爾頓強演唱了歷年來的經典歌曲，包括 "Candle In The Wind / 風中之燭"、"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me / 別讓太陽離我遠去"、"Rocket Man / 火箭人" 等經典歌曲。強叔也演唱 "Something About The Way You Look Tonight / 你今晚的樣子" 特別獻給老公大衛示愛，也感謝老公前一晚在曼哈頓為自己辦了一個眾星雲集的慶生派對。
